Omaha Chapter History

How the Omaha Chapter Started

April 3, 1996 nine members met with Greg Gladfelter at HDR in Omaha.

The members were James Kuehl, Robert Martinmaas, Jon Carper, Michael Burgett, Dave Benscoter, Garry Richardson, Chas Magdanz, James Coco, and Richard Gramlich.  Two non-members attending were Doug Hatfield and Ron Feuerbach.  A petition was signed by the above members interested in forming a satellite chapter of the Kansas City chapter of ASPE.

That same day a letter was sent along with the petition to Tony Hitchcock (Kansas City President) asking to become a satellite chapter.  In the letter, Tony was asked to expedite the processing of our petition through the KC chapter so the national board could vote on it during their May meeting.

The national board voted in May to make Omaha a satellite of the Kansas City chapter.
